🌍 Accelerating ecological transformation with a record-time MVP

In January 2024, Selego joined the Ithákê venture, a DeepTech startup dedicated to the ecological transformation of territories. After a period of low productivity with the previous technical team, Ithákê was looking for a partner capable of reviving the project. Although Ithákê's vision was clear and initial design was already underway, Selego was tasked with prioritizing features, reorganizing the development strategy, and restarting the project from scratch. Our mission: to complete a high-performance MVP in record time to meet the urgent needs of local authorities and stakeholders.

🏔️ Overcoming technical and organizational challenges with an agile approach

The Ithákê project presented several complex challenges:

  • Project takeover: The project had experienced a period of stagnation, requiring a complete reassessment of the development strategy.
  • International coordination: The team, consisting of 15 people spread across multiple time zones, needed to function smoothly despite cultural differences and varied working methods.
  • Rapid launch: It was crucial to deliver functional versions every two weeks, with a finalized MVP in just a month and a half.

To address these challenges, Selego implemented an agile approach, using tools like Jira for task tracking, Confluence for documentation, and Slack for real-time communication. This organization enabled maintaining an efficient workflow, aligned with the project's changing priorities.

📈 A successful launch and national expansion

Thanks to Selego's commitment, Ithákê successfully launched its product on June 29, 2024. The platform now has nearly 400 users, a number that continues to grow. Selego not only contributed to technical development but also provided strategic guidance, with a dedicated CTO for Ithákê and a product manager to ensure development coherence and quality.

Ithákê is now preparing a second round of funding to expand its impact nationally, targeting territories beyond Plaine Commune. This expansion will strengthen the platform's ecological, economic, and social impact, in alignment with Ithákê's mission to promote systemic ecological transition.
